B3C is also partner in european projects like @neurist in which we will develop software for the fusion of medical data for the diagnosis and the treatment of cerebral aneurisms. B3C also collaborates with CINECA in the LHDL european project.
Who we areB3C is the biomedical division of SCS srl, a SME start-up to exploit the results and services of a group of research institutions including CINECA Supercomputing centre, and Laboratorio di Tecnologia Medica of Istituti Ortopedici Rizzoli. Aim of B3C is to promote and organise biocomputing research activities and to transfer research results and high performance computing technologies towards medical applications and medical devices manufacturers. B3C controls the MafMedical library, an extension of the OpenMAF core aimed at the rapid development of specialised multimodal applications in the domain of computer-aided medicine. MafMedical extends the OpenMAF by adding VMEs, operations and views specifically designed for biomedical applications.
